Winter School: Categorification, representation theory and symplectic geometry

Dates: November 20-24, 2017
Venue: HIM lecture hall, Poppelsdorfer Allee 45, Bonn
Organizers: Anne-Laure Thiel, Daniel Tubbenhauer

There is a fruitful interplay between categorification, representation theory and symplectic geometry, and our intention is to highlight some of it in detail. This winter school is mainly directed at PhD students and young postdocs. We hope to bring together researchers as well as students who want to learn more about the various presented aspects of these broad fields.

Lecturers:

  • Eugene Gorski (University of California, Davis): Hilbert schemes and knot homology
  • Yankı Lekili (King's College, London): Fukaya categories and their appearance in representation theory
  • Andrew Mathas (University of Sydney): Cyclotomic KLR algebras
  • Volodymyr Mazorchuk (Uppsala University): Introduction to 2-representation theory
  • Catharina Stroppel (Universität Bonn): Springer fibres and generalised KLR algebras
