Workshop C: Set-valued Numerical Analysis and Robust Optimal Control
Date: March 27 - 29, 2008
Venue: HIM lecture hall, Poppelsdorfer Allee 45
Organizers: Robert Baier, Eva Crück, Matthias Gerdts, Thomas Lorenz, Janosch Rieger
The workshop brought together scientists from the fields of set-valued numerical analysis, (optimal) control, and robust optimization. Indeed, all these fields serve the purpose to handle dynamical systems that may change rapidly or can be described only with uncertainties. Applications beyond mathematical analysis, however, require computational methods for set-valued approaches and effective algorithms of optimal control. Up to now, these challenges are investigated via several concepts, but in a rather separated way. So in this workshop, representatives of different branches were to meet and exchanged their inspiring experience.
Topics of interest:
- Set-Valued Numerical Analysis
