Follow-up Workshop to TP "On the Interaction of Representation Theory with Geometry and Combinatorics"
Date: March 22 - April 2, 2015 (conference: March 27 - March 31, 2015)
Venue: Mathematics Center, Endenicher Allee 60, Bonn
Organizers: Steffen König (office 4.012, phone: +49 228 73 2941), Peter Littelmann, Jan Schröer, Catharina Stroppel
This meeting was a follow-up workshop to the Hausdorff Trimester Program "On the Interaction of Representation Theory with Geometry and Combinatorics". It consisted of a conference (March 27 - 31) surrounded by some days with additional seminar talks and the possibility to discuss and collaborate.
Representation theory is a vast area with many different research directions. Our intention is to bring together leading representation theorists and also a group of young talents to intensify the interdisciplinary and international communication and to report on new developments in the field. Since the Hausdorff Trimester Program took place, many new developments happened, partly initiated or triggered by the program. We focused on further developing these directions. The keywords here are the following:
- Quiver Hecke algebras and their super versions
- Flag varieties and their degenerations and combinatorics of Mircovic-Vilonen cycles
- Quiver Grassmannians and associated convolution algebras
- New aspects on the theory of crystals
- Quantum cluster algebras
- Generalizations of Schur algebras and Brauer algebras
- Degenerate affine Hecke algebras and their double affine or rational versions
Further information on the Conference (March 27 - 31, 2015)
The days surrounding the conference were used for collaboration and discussions and for attending seminars and lectures (Spring School). On April 1 and 2, there were seminars involving participants of the activity.
